Diệt mối Khai Phongcũng thấy rằng, mối xâm hại ở những khu vực này thường xuất hiện gồm nhiều chủng loại. Mặc dù các gỗ tốt như lim, đinh, táu…nhưng vẫn bị mối làm hư hại nặng.

Qua khảo sát kiểm tra, các chuyên gia Diệt mối Khai Phong cho biết: Có nhiều cột gỗ lim còn dính phần giác nên đã bị mối ăn; nhiều cột lim lớn nhẵn đen bị rỗng ruột (chúng tôi gọi là tiêu tâm), khả năng chịu lực rất yếu. Những cột này thường được kê bằng một viên đá tảng, sự tiếp giáp không thể khít tuyệt đối, mặt khác lại bị tác động hủy hoại của môi trường ẩm-nóng qua thời gian dài, phần tiếp giáp mòn dần, khe hở lớn theo nên dễ bị mối cánh trong mùa vũ hóa chui vào làm tổ. Được sự trợ giúp của môi trường, các tổ mối phát triển rất thuận lợi, chúng nhanh chóng có mặt ở khắp công trình…

Từ thực tế đó, Diệt mối Khai Phong xây dựng lên một quy trình phòng trừ mối cho các công trình văn hóa-lịch sử như sau:

1- Khảo sát hiện trạng mối

–  Kiểm tra toàn bộ công trình xem có những loài mối nào hoạt động (Mối gỗ khô, mối nhà, mối đất…);

– Nguyên nhân và điều kiện chủ yếu phát sinh mối;

– Dánh giá mức độ thiệt hại;

2- Các giải pháp kỹ thuật cần thực hiện

– Giải pháp diệt từng loài mối;

– Giải pháp phòng đối với từng loài mối;

– Đánh giá và nghiệm thu kết quả

3- Áp dụng phòng mối toàn diện (bảo hành 5 năm và bảo trì lâu dài cho công trình khi có yêu cầu).
